Summary: This reference manual explains how to operate a data warehousing product.
Production: IDX Systems had its own production team. I was therefore limited to the templates, styles, and standards that were implemented by this team. I used FrameMaker to write the content and Acrobat to generate the online version of the manual.
Authorship: I co-authored this manual with two other members on my documentation team. I wrote parts I, II, and III (chapters 1-11), and helped edit the remainder of the manual. Some sections also originated from legacy content that existed from earlier software versions.
Audience: The reference manual's audience included experienced computer programmers and administrators who worked for medical facilities that run the data warehousing system. The audience had a very strong technical background and understood computer terminology at a much greater level than standard end users.
