How to Disable and Enable the Google Ad Group Automanage Feature
To work directly with a Google ad group that is based on a Geneva editorial group, you must first disable the automanage feature that Geneva has for automatically copying the Geneva editorial group content to Google ad groups.
What you should know:
-
If you disable the automanage feature for a Google ad group, you can enable it again later and overwrite the customized Google ad group with the associated Geneva editorial group information.
Before you begin:
-
You must have a valid Geneva user account with permission to edit Google ad groups.
Procedure:
-
Access the Google ad group for which you are disabling the automanage feature:
-
Search for the campaign containing the associated Google ad group, and then click the campaign ID link for that campaign in the search results list. The Campaign Maintenance page opens, with the Campaign tab active.
-
Click the Google Ad Grps tab.
-
Click the Edit link next to the ad group’s title. The page refreshes with a form to edit the ad group.
-
-
Above section 1, clear the Automanage check box if you want to customize the ad group. Select the check box if you want to revert to the associated Geneva editorial group information. If you select the check box, a confirmation window prompts you to confirm your change.
If you select the Automanage check box and confirm your change, Geneva reverts back to the associated Geneva editorial group information and you lose any of the customized information that may currently exist for the selected Google ad group.
