How to Create an E-mail Template

Messaging contains templates for e-mail messages that are sent to advertisers. When you create an e-mail template, it is available for selection on the Products tab when you add or edit your reseller information.

What you should know:

  • The exact information you can add, edit, and view depends on the permission level you have in Geneva.

Procedure:

  1. Access your reseller account. The Reseller Maintenance page opens with the Reseller tab active.

  2. Click the Messaging tab. The Messaging tab opens with a list of all reseller categories that have been created. You can filter the list if necessary to display only a subset of the list.

  3. To create a master template, click Add Master. The Messaging tab refreshes with a form to create the new master template. A master template is used for the following purposes:

    • Welcome to the advertiser after a new advertiser account is created

    • Message to new user that their user account has been created

    • Announcement that the contract is live

    • Monthly reporting

    • Message with the user’s forgotten password when requested

  4. To create a child template, click Add Child. The Messaging tab refreshes with a form to create the new child template.

  5. Provide information for necessary fields, including the body text for the e-mail. You can insert tags to include dynamic information in the e-mail (for example, total number of monthly clicks). Click the Tags link for more information on tags.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Save.
