How to Preview or Customize Ads

When you specify ad content, Geneva automatically assembles the content into the appropriate format for the different ad networks. You can preview these ads the way they will appear on each ad network and customize any of them as needed.

What you should know:

  • Depending on your reseller account, WebVisible might perform this procedure for the campaigns created by your organization.

  • Any time you make changes to editorial group information in Geneva you should add a note and describe what the change is.

Before you begin:

Procedure:

  1. Access the editorial group for which you are previewing or customizing ads, if it is not already open:

    1. Search for the campaign containing that editorial group, and then click the campaign ID link for that campaign in the search results list. The Campaign Maintenance page opens, with the Campaign tab active.

    2. Click the Editorial Grps tab.

    3. Click the Edit link next to the editorial group’s title. The page refreshes with a form to edit the editorial group.

  2. After the ad titles and text are specified in section 3, click the Update link under Section 4. Preview Individual Media Provider Content.

  3. Preview default ads (ads before you customize them) in the Default section. Preview customized ads in the Customized section.

  4. To customize a specific ad for an ad network:

    1. Click the Edit link for that ad network. The page refreshes with a form to edit the ad.

    2. Clear the Use Default check box to disable use of the default ad.

If you later decide to revert back to the default ad, you can return to this screen and select the Use Default check box. The ad then changes back to the default that is based on the ad title and text you specify for the editorial group.

    1. Type custom information in the Ad Title, Ad Text, Display URL, and Destination URL boxes. This step is similar to providing the same information when you are specifying default ad titles and text.

  1. Click OK. The page refreshes to the original form to edit the editorial group.

  2. Click OK when you have finished working with the editorial group.

  3. Click Save.
